The short answer
Choose Planable if your hardest problem is getting feedback and approval from several people, in a set order, on every post. Choose CampaignFlow if your hardest problem is keeping a campaign consistent: planning what each post should be and checking every draft against what the run has already said.
CampaignFlow and Planable, side by side
| Aspect | CampaignFlow | Planable |
|---|---|---|
| Built around | A campaign as one body of work: planned, written, scheduled and tracked together. | Collaboration-first social media management: feedback and approval on each post. |
| Campaign planning | Every slot gets a format, an ask and a pillar before anyone writes; repeats are flagged. | Feed, calendar, grid and list views; labels for campaigns and pillars. |
| Draft checking | Each draft checked against the run: spent hashtags, repeated figures, your don't-say list. | Comments, suggested edits, annotations and version history; AI post generation. |
| Client approval | One link per decision, no login, lasting 72 hours. Sign-off, not a gate. | Custom workflows, required approvals and multi-level approval steps on higher plans. |
| Platforms | Instagram, Facebook Pages, YouTube and Threads. LinkedIn is pending platform review. | Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, Google Business Profile, Threads. |
| Scheduling | The whole run scheduled in one go; re-checked 15 minutes before; unready posts held. | Posts scheduled across several platforms at once. |
| Analytics | Each post measured against your own median; posts re-read on all four platforms when you sign in. | Cross-channel analytics and competitor benchmarking as a paid add-on. |
| Engagement | No inbox and no comment replies. | A social inbox for comments and DMs as a paid add-on. |
| Free plan | Yes, no card and no trial clock. Custom is arranged by email. | A free trial with no time limit and no card, capped by post count. See their pricing page. |
| Beyond social | Social posts only. | Also plans and approves newsletters, blog posts, ads and other non-social content. |

Where CampaignFlow is different
Planable is strongest once a draft exists. CampaignFlow does more of its work before and during writing. The rotation planner decides the format, ask and pillar for every slot, and each draft is checked for spent hashtags, repeated headline figures and claims on your don't-say list.
Its approval is simpler by design. A reviewer gets a link, needs no account, and approves or asks for changes. The link lasts 72 hours and records one decision. It is a record of sign-off rather than a gate, so it suits clients who want to say yes or no, not a multi-step process. See the client approval guide.
- Every brand under one login, with a switch between them.
- Feedback in plain English changes only what you name, with earlier versions kept.
- Alerts to Slack, Discord, Telegram, email, a webhook or in-app.
Where Planable is the better choice
Planable's collaboration is richer. Reviewers can leave comments, suggested edits and annotations, teams keep internal notes and team-only drafts, and higher plans offer required and multi-level approvals stacked in order, such as team lead, then client, then legal. CampaignFlow has none of that layering.
Planable also supports more platforms, including LinkedIn, X, TikTok, Pinterest and Google Business Profile, and can handle newsletters, blog posts and ads alongside social posts. It offers analytics and a social inbox as add-ons; CampaignFlow has no inbox, and its measurement is narrower. CampaignFlow is also a young product, still adding platforms.
Who each one suits
Planable suits agencies and in-house teams where many people touch every post, approval follows a fixed order, and social sits beside other content such as newsletters and ads.
CampaignFlow suits agencies and brands whose clients want a quick yes or no, and whose bigger risk is inconsistency across a run: a hashtag used twice, a figure repeated, a claim that is almost true. It is narrower in platforms and collaboration, and deeper in campaign planning.
Can you use both?
You could, but the overlap is large: both plan, get sign-off and schedule. Most teams will want one. If a legal or multi-step review is required on every post, Planable is the safer fit. If the risk you worry about is a campaign that repeats itself or overstates a claim, CampaignFlow addresses that directly.
CampaignFlow's Free plan needs no card, so an agency can run one client campaign through it before deciding. See CampaignFlow for agencies.
